Bed Bug Preparation
In most cases, the kitchen and bathroom areas need minimal attention. Your efforts will be best applied in bedrooms, living rooms and nearby closets.
- Remove all bed linens, pillowcases, bed-skirts etc. Only a bare mattress and box spring should be left.
- Remove all clothing from dressers and closets.
- Remove all curtains from the windows.
- The clothing, bed linens, plush items and curtains must be laundered and/or put through a hot dryer. Clothes hanging in closets will be up to the discretion of our technician(s).commercial Machines usually best.
- Keep laundered items out of the unit until after your treatment.
- All clutter must be removed! This is best achieved by going through all personal belongings. Decide what can be discarded. Go through the remaining items and decide what can go through a dryer safely*.
- The remaining items should be carefully inspected and treated accordingly.
- Be prepared to vacate the unit for at least 8 hours. This includes treatment time of up to 3hrs as well as re-entry time.
- Every treatment will need at least one follow-up visit in 10-14 days. (Included in price)
- If preparation is not done properly, 100% control will be difficult to achieve and additional service may be required.
